Just Like Aunt Avery...

Apparently the water in the shower tastes much better than the water I put in her bowl because Miss Reggie loves to stick her head in the shower, just like her Aunt Avery.

The New Residence
It's official...the new place is up and running and I'm heading out shortly to go check out furniture. The lack of activity on the blog is largely due to the fact that I've been without cable or Internet at the new place until this Wednesday. When the cable guy installed the Internet he told me it wouldn't be wireless. Good thing for me I have a friendly, tech-savvy co-worker who helped me get a wireless Internet router up and running this morning. Thanks, Tony!
So back to blogging for me! There's plenty of new Reggie pictures and pics of Windan'Sea to post...comin' right up!

Marathon Update…Marathon Triplets To Be Put Up For Adoption
Unfortunately with the moving and the puppy, my focus on getting back to tippy top running shape has been diverted. After several vacation weekends with the girls and missing a couple of long runs, I realized this spring is not going to be marathon time for me. Total bummer, but now that I’m getting settled into my new place, I’ll soon get back into the workout routine and start ramping up. The Reggie maintenance has also thrown a kink into my morning workout routine. It’s slowly getting easier and hopefully I’ll be hopping back on the workout train within the next week. Just have to get the house settled and then it’s on!
Reggie Update
Reggie is a bit nervous about going up and down the stairs at our new place. It is quite comical. She found a new BFF yesterday – Bella Keck, a 2-year old Vizsla, who conveniently lives just down the street in La Jolla. Bella has more energy than Reggie, can outrun her and is still big enough that Reggie can’t bully her (yet). It should be interesting to see how long it takes until Reggie is able to beat her up. Hopefully at least another couple of months…
Reggie’s back is healing nicely from where her brother Tank chomped her, and she has also bounced back from the anaphylactic reaction to her last vaccination. We saw Dr. Dorian this weekend at Windan’Sea Veterinary Clinic and he said her heart and lungs sound good and she is a healthy puppy! We submitted her stool sample yesterday, she doesn't have any parasites and we have to go in for the final round of vaccinations at the end of April. She does get the hiccups a lot, which I have to ask him about. We are close to the hiking trails above La Jolla High School and only a couple of blocks from the beach… I think she’ll enjoy living in Windan’Sea as well!
Moving…
My vacation day Monday was consumed with moving my life from East Village downtown to Windan’Sea. The movers were reasonably priced and actually pretty decent guys (aside from a slight mix up at the storage place where they gave Sara a hard time for renting a storage unit on the second floor). I’ve made solid progress unpacking my new place, I have my bed and desk set up, but still have a lot of work to do figuring out how I’m going to set up the living room. This also means I’ll be scouring craigslist for good deals on furniture, because I am lacking a couch, coffee table and dining room table. Right now my living room pretty much consists of a bunch of boxes, Reggie and her crate and my very large TV.
Although overall I’m really excited about the new place, I’ll really miss living with Sara and Basic Pizza/FleetWood on the weekends. The thing I’m most nervous about is the street noise at my new place. Living at the intersection of La Jolla Blvd. and Nautilus Street makes me feel like I’m living in New York City because there seems to always be lots of cars, trucks, etc. However, I can hear seagulls as well, and Reggie and I walked to the beach this morning, so those are definitely pluses. I’m convinced that Windan’Sea is the spot, now I just need to launch my own company to make a ton of dough so I can afford a place on the water (Nautilus and Neptune, perhaps).
